Named after the second oldest park in St. Louis, Benton Park was declared a Federal Historic District in 1985. Benton Park - S. Jefferson & Arsenal | This 14.3 acre park dates back to 1866. Amenities include a lake with stocked fish, a reflecting pool, comfort station, playground, horseshoe court, and lighted tennis courts.

Cherokee Center - 3200 South Jefferson | Built in 1967 on the southwest corner of Benton Park. The center has a gymnasium, a boxing and workout room, a crafts room, and an indoor swimming pool.

Cherokee Park - 13th and Wyoming | This 8.9 acre park includes a pavilion, playground, softball field, baseball field, and soccer field.

Fremont Park - Lynch and Salena | This 2.31 acre park features a playground and softball field.

Carnegie Park - Indiana and Wyoming | This 2.07 acre park was acquired in 1899 to be a market but nearby property owners protested and that scheme was abandoned. The Park Department was then put in charge and it was partially developed into a public park in1904.
